A hierarchical identification method for optimal location of vibration suppression on transmission path in satellites

A hierarchical path identification method (HPIM) is proposed to locate the optimal vibration isolation location in satellites. Compared with the existing methods with high computation costs, the locating efficiency of the entire satellite can be improved without sacrificing accuracy through the HPIM method. In this method, the parameter identification method is introduced to narrow the area of vibration isolation from the whole satellite to the dominant transmission path, as the primary location step. After that, in the accurate location step, the specific isolation location in the dominant path is identified based on the vibration transmission characteristics of the dominant path. The efficacy of the HPIM method is demonstrated by experiments using a satellite with momentum wheels as the vibration source. In addition, the comparison between the HPIM method and the traditional method indicates that the calculation time of the HPIM method is reduced to one-third of that of the traditional method.
