The photocatalytic synthesis and closed-loop recycling of poly(semi-aromatic 1,2-ethanediol)s

A series of poly(semi-aromatic 1,2-ethanediol)s with well functional-group tolerance have been developed. For the closed-loop recycling, the polymeric diols could be depolymerized to dialdehydes monomers in moderate to high yields.
