On the Vanishing Viscosity Limit of Hamilton–Jacobi Equations with Nearly Optimal Discount
Abstract. In this paper, we establish the convergence of solutions to the viscous Hamilton–Jacobi equation (with a Tonelli Hamiltonian): [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] as [Formula: see text], once the modulus [Formula: see text] satisfies [Formula: see text]. Such an exponent of [Formula: see text] is nearly optimal for the convergence.
