Hospital resource use and in-hospital mortality before and during the COVID-19 pandemic: a nationwide cohort study

In this study, we observed an association between the COVID-19 pandemic and hospital resource use in COVID-19 patients only, resulting in higher in-hospital mortality, longer lengths of hospital stay and more frequent facility discharges. No relevant differences were seen in the control group during both time periods.
