Notes on the Taxonomy and Distribution of Rotala ritchiei (Lythraceae) in India

This study reports the first distributional record of Rotala ritchiei from the Eastern Ghats, expanding its known range beyond the Western Ghats in India. Furthermore, critical studies reveal that R. sahyadrica is conspecific with R. ritchiei. An updated morphological description, nomenclatural notes, distribution map, ecological observations, and photographic documentation are provided to support identification and further research.
