Lichen family Parmeliaceae from the Agasthyamalai Biosphere Reserve including new record of 3 taxa each to India and States

Parmeliaceae is the largest family of lichen-forming fungi. The family has been studied in detail within the Agasthyamalai Biosphere Reserve. The survey and laboratory investigations revealed the occurrence of 36 species in 10 genera. Bulbothrix cinerea Marcelli & Kalb, Hypotrachyna majoris (Vain.) Hale and Parmotrema mordenii (Hale) Hale are reported here as new records for India, Hypotrachyna neodissecta (Hale) Hale is recorded as new report for Kerala and Myelochroa radiculata (Kurok.)
