A new dorylaimid species is described herein from natural habitats in the biosphere reserve of Valle de Tehuacn-Cuicatln (RBVTC), Mexico. Talanema ngiguae sp. nov. is characterized by its 1.241.63 mm long body, lip region hardly offset by depression and 14.516.5 m wide with perioral liplets, odontostyle 18.522 m long, guiding ring double, neck 323383 m long, pharyngeal expansion occupying 4546% of the total neck length, uterus tripartite and 153190 m long or 2.72.8 times body diameters, vulva longitudinal (V = 5761), female tail conical with a dorsal concavity (2732 m, c = 4649, c = 0.91.0), male tail short and rounded conoid (23 m, c = 6771, c = 0.7), spicules 6869 m long, and 1417 shortly spaced ventromedian supplements ending at level of the anterior end of spicules, with hiatus. The new species is compared with its closest relative, T. mauritiense, both taxa being easily distinguished by their lip region, vulva orientation, female tail and spicule length.
