This paper addresses the issue of mobile phone smuggling to prisons. This is a serious problem faced by the Prison Service in Poland. According to the respondents, this phenomenon, despite a few events, has a negative impact on the functioning of penitentiary units. The aim of the research was to find answers to questions about the main places of mobile phone disclosure, to determine people interested in the trafficking of illegal phones in prisons, or to compare the phenomenon of smuggling with the corruption of officers.
