Optimalisasi Google Workspace untuk Produktivitas dan Kesiapan Kerja Siswa Akuntansi di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan
This community service program addressed low digital literacy among accounting students in an Indonesian vocational school by structuring the use of Google Workspace for learning and teamwork. The program aimed to (i) strengthen students’ digital skills mapped to authentic accounting tasks, (ii) measure effects on academic productivity, and (iii) reinforce technology-based employability. Implementation followed four stages: socialization, hands-on training (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Meet), project mentoring, and evaluation (pre-test, post-test, questionnaire, observation)—with 50 Grade-XI accounting students over one month. Results show meaningful gains from pre-test 45% to post-test 76%, with high skill attainment by application: Google Sheets 85%, Google Docs 80%, Google Drive 75%, and Google Meet/Calendar 70%, alongside 95% participation. Mapping features to curriculum-linked use cases (transaction data processing, report writing, file management, scheduling, and online presentation) increased productivity, collaboration, and confidence. The program demonstrates that a practice-oriented, collaborative model accelerates digital upskilling in vocational education and supports SDG 4 through quality, technology-integrated learning aligned with industry needs. The novelty lies in directly mapping Google Workspace features to authentic accounting competencies. To sustain outcomes, follow-up actions with teachers include co-mentoring, embedding Google-based tasks in productive subjects, and maintaining a shared repository of templates and micro-tutorials.
