O NARCISISMO A PARTIR DA PERSPECTIVA PSICANALÍTICA FREUDIANA
ABSTRACT By understanding the significance and impact that narcissism has on contemporary relationships, a chronological search for the origin of the concept was adopted. Starting from mythology in its historical context and entering the theoretical formulation up to the present times. The analysis of this concept provides fundamental elements to understand how the psychic structure is constituted, forming the individual’s personality and how this reflects on human relationships. For such understanding, the research adopted a qualitative approach, of a descriptive and interpretative nature, based on a bibliographic review using Freudian works and contemporary articles that enriched the approach to the concept. By delving into Freud’s Introduction to Narcissism, he made it possible to understand the psychic structure from the first moments of existence, which he called primary and secondary narcissism, libido of the Self, libido of the Object, and the formation of the Ideal Self. And in the formation of this structure that reflects the success or failure of relationships. In contemporary times, in the face of excessive exposure in which the search for validation happens incessantly, narcissism emerges in new configurations that contribute to the construction of superficial relationships.
