Menopause@work
Menopause@work – HWR Berlin and BARMER publish recommendations for companies to promote the health of employees during menopause Untreated menopausal symptoms are not only an individual health problem, but also an economic factor. As calculations by the Berlin School of Economics and Law show, this costs the German economy approximately €9.4 billion annually, resulting from 40 million days of absence. This issue is becoming increasingly urgent, especially given the current shortage of skilled workers. Providing targeted support to women during this phase of life and retaining them long-term is not only an expression of social responsibility – it is also a sound business investment.
