Study of Optimal Energy Storage Sizing for Voltage Quality Improvement in Distribution Networks
In this paper, a novel method for voltage quality improvement in distribution networks using energy storage devices considering load fluctuations is proposed and the optimal energy storage sizing is studied. Firstly, quantitative measurement models for the benefit and cost of distributed energy storage devices are discussed considering load fluctuations. Then, concepts of economic curves are used in this paper to establish novel long-term cost-benefit curves and the optimal capacity of the distributed energy storage device is obtained through curve analysis. Finally, an example is carried out based on the modified IEEE33 node system to verify the feasibility of the method proposed in this paper, and the parameter sensitivity of this method is studied.
