A Concrete Quantity Estimation Method for Distribution Network Projects Based on Modular Decomposition and Intelligent Optimization

With the advancement of new power systems and the implementation of the “dual carbon” strategy, refined resource management in distribution network projects has become essential for enhancing investment efficiency and construction quality. As the scale of distribution network construction continues to expand, accurately estimating the quantity of concrete used has emerged as a critical concern in both engineering design and construction management. Traditional estimation methods largely rely on empirical data and rough calculations, lacking a comprehensive consideration of diverse influencing factors. This paper proposes a novel concrete quantity estimation method based on modular decomposition and intelligent optimization. By identifying the key factors affecting concrete usage, the method integrates cluster analysis of similar project types and comparisons with historical data. An intelligent prediction model is employed to achieve high-precision forecasting. The final estimation is derived through a weighted averaging approach that balances historical trends with predictive outcomes. A case study demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method in distribution network projects, showing significant improvements in the accuracy of concrete usage estimation.
