Electromagnetic Transient Model of Regional Power Grid Based on Full-Operating Condition Simulation
In order to accurately assess the impact of a high proportion of new energy access on the dynamic characteristics of the power grid, this paper constructs a full-condition electromagnetic transient simulation model of a prefecture-level city power grid. By building a refined model including transmission lines, transformers, synchronous generators and other conventional power components, combined with the RT1000 digital real-time simulation system, a high-precision simulation of different operating conditions of the power grid is realized. Field measurements from 110 kV substations validate the 50 microseconds simulation step’s capability in capturing actual grid dynamics, which significantly improves the computational efficiency. Verification of the centralized PV power plant grid-connected simulation example shows that the model can accurately capture the transient process of the grid under fault disturbance, and effectively analyze the voltage fluctuation of the grid, line overload and other key issues, which provides a reliable dynamic analysis tool for the assessment of hybrid renewable energy integration capacity.
