Exposure of Humans to Magnetic Fields Generated by Inductive Power Transfer for Charging Electric Vehicles
The paper deals with the assessment of human exposure to magnetic fields generated by a wireless power system for charging electric vehicles. Simplified disk/cylindrical models of the human body are used featuring the use of analytical and numerical techniques for solving governing equations for the internal electric field and the induced current density, respectively. Some illustrative results for the electric field induced inside the body due to external magnetic fields are given in the paper. The obtained calculated results are compared against exposure limits proposed by international regulations.
