Control Strategy for Grid-Connected/Off-Grid of Reconfigurable Energy Storage Considering Timing Coordination between Topological Reconfiguration and Grid-Connection Switch
Regarding the issue that the reconfiguration response time of the energy storage (ES) battery network topology has a certain impact on the grid-connected (GC)/off-grid (OG) operation of the system when the reconfigurable battery ES switches from OG to GC mode, a GC/OG control strategy for reconfigurable new-type ES considering the timing coordination between the reconfiguration response time of battery packs and the response time of grid-connection switches is proposed. Firstly, a system architecture based on reconfigurable new-type ES is designed, and the conditions that the output power (OP) and voltage of the ES should meet during reconfiguration are put forward. Secondly, based on the coordinated control of VSG, a smooth grid-connection strategy for ES considering the reconfiguration response time of ES battery packs is proposed. Finally, a model is built on the MATLAB/Simulink to testify the proposed control strategy. The findings demonstrate that the suggested control technique may provide a seamless grid connection for reconfigurable new-type ES.
