An Improved Consensus-Based Dynamic Power Sharing in Microgrid Distributed Control

To address the limitations of conventional distributed secondary control methods, which are incapable of handling negative power reference values and the system instability induced by abrupt power reference variations, this research proposes an improved secondary control method aiming to enhance both the stability and response speed of dynamic power allocation. The method first extends the executable power reference range by mapping power data onto an extended range. Subsequently, two adaptive parameters are introduced: one to mitigate system instability triggered by abrupt power reference variations, and the other to dynamically modulate the allocation speed based on the deviation between actual and set power values. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method is capable of effectively executing negative power references, substantially improving system stability during power reference transients, and enhancing the speed of dynamic power allocation through the adaptive parameters.
