Research on Direct Power Control of Vienna Rectifier Based on Sliding Mode Control
The three-phase Vienna rectifier offers structural simplicity, low switching loss, and high power density, but traditional PI control suffers from poor robustness, slow dynamics, and midpoint voltage fluctuations. This paper proposes a sliding mode-based direct power control strategy, where the inner loop uses power errors for sliding mode surface design with an exponential approach law to reduce chattering and enhance convergence, while the outer loop employs voltage error to improve tracking and midpoint potential. Theoretical stability analysis confirms the algorithm’s validity. Experimental results demonstrate superior robustness and dynamic performance over conventional PI control.
