Human Exposure to Electric Fields Generated by WPT Technology for Charging Electric Vehicles

The paper deals with the assessment of human exposure to electric fields generated by a wireless power system for charging electric vehicles. Simplified cylindrical models of the human body are used featuring the use of analytical and numerical techniques for solving governing integral relations. Some illustrative results for the electric field induced inside the body are given in the paper. The obtained calculated results are compared against exposure limits proposed by international regulations.

Abstract

The paper deals with the assessment of human exposure to electric fields generated by a wireless power system for charging electric vehicles. Simplified cylindrical models of the human body are used featuring the use of analytical and numerical techniques for solving governing integral relations. Some illustrative results for the electric field induced inside the body are given in the paper. The obtained calculated results are compared against exposure limits proposed by international regulations.
