Successful ultrasound-guided percutaneous embolization of splenic artery pseudoaneurysm with Glubran 2 cyanoacrylate glue: A case report

The current report presents a case of a 50-year-old female who developed worsening abdominal pain following the initiation of dual antiplatelet therapy for a recent diagnosis of non-ST elevation myocardial infarction. Clinical suspicion of intra-abdominal hemorrhage prompted computed tomography imaging, which revealed a splenic artery pseudoaneurysm at the splenic hilum, accompanied by hemoperitoneum. Subsequent angiography showed no active extravasation. The patient was treated successfully with transabdominal ultrasound-guided percutaneous embolization using a mixture of N-butyl cyanoacrylate and Lipiodol. The procedure was completed without complications and resulted in significant symptomatic improvement.
