Inter-relações entre múltiplas variáveis químicas no centro de detenção provisória de Aracruz

Improperly disposed of cooking oil comes into contact with rivers, lakes, and seas, creating a barrier that hinders the entry of light and oxygen into the aquatic environment. This compromises the survival of living beings in their habitats. Improper disposal of oil also contributes to flooding and disease, and clogs sewage pipes, attracting insects and their predators. This project was developed to encourage students in the Aracruz Provisional Detention Center (CDPA), located in the municipality of Aracruz, Espírito Santo, to produce ecological soap from used vegetable oil stored in large quantities at the CDPA. This promoted environmental awareness among these students through oil reuse, developing practical learning and theoretical knowledge of the multiple chemical variables involved in the saponification reaction. It is also noted that the soap-making workshop provided experimentation in one of the curriculum's disciplines (Science), providing an understanding of and understanding of the multiple chemical variables that influence the saponification reaction. Thus, the workshop played a fundamental role in fostering socialization and preparing the CDPA students for a more productive and responsible life.
