Microwave radiation in medical practice
Penetration of radiation into tissues and cells of the body is a key aspect that determines its potential medical and therapeutic application. Wavelengths from 1 to 14 nanometers correspond to high-frequency waves with a high energy level, which makes them special in the context of biological organism exposure. Understanding these processes is key both for the basic scientific study of the pathogenesis of such effects and for the development of new medical technologies and therapies. Radiation in the range from 1 to 14 nm demonstrates a number of positive effects, including stimulation of cellular metabolism, improvement of microcirculation and tissue oxygenation, and an immunostimulating effect.
