Multiscale Biomimetic Plate Design Method for Microvibration Suppression and its Application in Spacecraft
Microvibration has long been a concern for high‐resolution spacecraft. Suppressing vibrations along the transmission paths, such as cabin plates, is a feasible method. However, the commonly used homogeneous and periodic plates are not effective in suppressing low‐frequency, broadband, and low‐amplitude microvibrations. The high strength and vibration suppression characteristics of goat tibia are remarkable, and its macroscopically regular but microscopically irregular structural features are the source of its excellent mechanical properties. Inspired by the distribution of pores and the morphology of mineralized fibers of goat tibia, this paper proposes a multiscale biomimetic structure design method. By irregularly embedding microscale biomimetic cells into a macroscopically regular biomimetic layout framework, the vibration suppression performance is optimized. To reveal how biomimetic design affects vibration transmission, a trans‐scale analysis model for microvibration transmission is established. Taking the typical flywheel‐cabin plate system in spacecraft as an example, experimental and simulation studies were conducted. The results show that the biomimetic plates have a lighter weight, lower vibration transmission rate, and excellent robustness. The multiscale biomimetic design synergistically induces a deflection in the cabin plate's mode, thereby redirecting vortex energy flow away from the output point and achieving microvibration transmission suppression.
