Pengaruh Alat Permainan Edukatif Lego Terhadap Perkembangan Kognitif Anak Umur 5-6 Tahun di PAUD Mentari Desa Sukaharja Karawang Tahun 2023

The growing capacity of a child's developing brain reaches 80% at an early age, and the remaining 20% ​​develops until late childhood. Providing the right stimulus will prepare children for their lives in the future. Lego games can increase creativity and require the player's imagination and thinking power, so that they can improve children's cognitive abilities. To determine the effect of the Lego educational game tool on the cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years at Mentari PAUD Sukaharja Village, Karawang in 2023. Pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample was children aged 5-6 years who took part in teaching and learning activities at Mentari PAUD Sukaharja Village, Karawang, totaling 14 respondents using total sampling techniques. The research instrument uses an observation sheet. The data is primary data analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Univariate analysis of the cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years before the Lego educational game intervention was carried out was good, 71.4%, and after, most of them were good, 71.4%. The results of the bivariate analysis show the influence of Lego educational games on the cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years, with a significance level of 0.001. There is an influence of Lego educational games on the cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years.
