On Evolutionary Game Dynamics and Coaching-Centric Assessments in Chess Training Systems
Training Systems hold a vital role in training athletes and preparing them for actual tournaments and competitions. In Chess, various computer-aided applications have been made to facilitate matches. However, training procedures are left undeveloped. Traditional chess training was based on the coaches' expertise, available resources on books and recorded games, and proven and tested old training matrixes. Despite the proliferation of various Artificial Intelligence tools, game dynamics and coach-centric assessments have been found to outperform computer-aided tools in chess players. This research attempts to integrate the concept of evolutionary game dynamics and coach-centric assessments by creating a peer-to-peer Chess Training Mobile Application. The application allows in-game coach assessments and annotations and allows real-time spectators for players who want to view the match. This application aims to strengthen player-coach engagement in training and to accelerate the experience of the athlete in various game scenarios using experiential training. Our comparative analysis shows that our proposed training system significantly extends the spectrum of dynamics within the area of chess training systems.
