A Coordinated Planning Model for Wind-PV Capacity Ratio that Takes into Account both Consumption and Supply Preservation
With the ongoing development of new-type power systems, how to ensure stable power supply while promoting efficient renewable energy integration has become a key challenge in the coordinated planning of wind–PV capacity ratios. In this study, a systematic analytical framework is established, encompassing data processing, model input, model construction and solution, and result output. A planning model is then formulated with the objective of minimizing total system cost, incorporating constraints such as renewable output variability and equipment operation. Power abandonment rate and power shortage rate are introduced as key performance indicators. Finally, the impact of different wind–PV capacity ratios on renewable energy accommodation and system reliability is evaluated through case studies. The results indicate that a properly balanced wind–PV ratio can significantly enhance renewable utilization while maintaining supply adequacy and improving overall economic performance.
