Practical observability and observers for nonlinear systems subject to bounded disturbances
This paper investigates the problem of observability and state reconstruction for nonlinear systems subject to unknown disturbances. We propose definitions of practical observability in this context and two kinds of practical observers. Under certain assumptions, we use the Lyapunov stability analysis method to show how to build an observer so that the estimation error converges in a "practical" sense.
