Analytical Study of Certain Properties of Reactive Fields

This work serves as a theoretical supplement to studies [1]–[3], which are devoted to the investigation of reactive fields. It attempts to provide an analytical explanation of the properties of these fields that have been observed through numerical modeling. Among the notable features are the high amplitude of the reactive field compared to that of the propagating wave field, as well as the vortex-like structure of the corresponding Poynting vector lines.

Abstract

This work serves as a theoretical supplement to studies [1]–[3], which are devoted to the investigation of reactive fields. It attempts to provide an analytical explanation of the properties of these fields that have been observed through numerical modeling. Among the notable features are the high amplitude of the reactive field compared to that of the propagating wave field, as well as the vortex-like structure of the corresponding Poynting vector lines.
