Parameter Optimization Method for Renewable Energy Participation in Short-Circuit Current Control Using Inertial Particle Swarm Algorithm
Existing short-circuit current optimization control technologies have not yet considered the flexible control capabilities of renewable energy/storage systems. Moreover, the key control parameters of renewable energy/storage inverters lack adjustable functionality, leaving their flexible short-circuit current control potential untapped. This paper proposes an inertial particle swarm optimization (PSO) (Particle Swarm Optimization)-based parameter tuning method for renewable power stations. First, stations significantly influencing short-circuit currents are identified. Then, optimal parameter settings (reactive current coefficient and current limit values) are determined through the inertia-weighted PSO algorithm. effectively mitigating overcurrent risks while maintaining fault ride-through capability.
