An Approach to Creating an Auto-scalable Software-Defined Network Using the Computing Resources of Connected Devices

This work addresses the critical problem of enhancing the efficiency of computing resource utilization and the flexibility of SDN network management. This is achieved by developing auto-scaling approaches for SDN elements within a heterogeneous computing environment featuring a dynamic architecture that leverages the computing capabilities of devices connected to a corporate network. Active SDN elements are conceptualized as containerized applications, managed by Kubernetes software. The paper proposes an original integrated technical solution, the effectiveness of which has been experimentally confirmed.

Abstract

This work addresses the critical problem of enhancing the efficiency of computing resource utilization and the flexibility of SDN network management. This is achieved by developing auto-scaling approaches for SDN elements within a heterogeneous computing environment featuring a dynamic architecture that leverages the computing capabilities of devices connected to a corporate network. Active SDN elements are conceptualized as containerized applications, managed by Kubernetes software. The paper proposes an original integrated technical solution, the effectiveness of which has been experimentally confirmed.
