Control the Range Parameters and Shape of Space-Time Signals in Multi-Frequency Phased Antenna Arrays of Arbitrary Geometry

This paper investigates the control of range parameters and the shaping of space-time pulsed signals in multi-frequency phased antenna arrays by adjusting the excitation parameters of identically structured elements arbitrarily distributed across the aperture, each emitting frequency-separated continuous radiation. A synthesis method for generating a periodic sequence of spatial pulses with a defined shape is developed and validated using rectangular pulse formation. A spectral component packetization technique is proposed to enable the generation of ultra-wideband space-time signals and enhance the performance characteristics of the synthesized waveforms. A modified spectrum is introduced to produce rectangular pulses with sharper edges and reduced space-time width. Conditions for the emergence of auto scanning sectors and the factors limiting their angular extent are identified.
