Homogeneous control design for linear MIMO systems

A class of homogeneous control laws is introduced for the finite-time or nearly fixed-time stabilization of linear MIMO systems. This analysis utilizes an explicitly defined Lyapunov function, which distinguishes it from similar studies. The approach provides a parameter tuning procedure formalized in the form of linear matrix inequalities. Robust properties of the proposed control is provided as well. The theoretical findings are validated through numerical examples.

Abstract

A class of homogeneous control laws is introduced for the finite-time or nearly fixed-time stabilization of linear MIMO systems. This analysis utilizes an explicitly defined Lyapunov function, which distinguishes it from similar studies. The approach provides a parameter tuning procedure formalized in the form of linear matrix inequalities. Robust properties of the proposed control is provided as well. The theoretical findings are validated through numerical examples.
