Optimization of Sommerfeld Integration Paths for the Green’s Function for 1-D Periodic Structures in Planar Layered Media

Model of quasi-periodicity of one dimension for monochromatic cylindrical scattering in a planar layered medium is discussed in terms of establishment of the relevant Green’s function. The total physical coverage of the scattering phenomenon is maintained via an optimization procedure for a versatile setting of the model. Numerical results reveal that the suggested model is physically relevant and numerically stable.

Abstract

Model of quasi-periodicity of one dimension for monochromatic cylindrical scattering in a planar layered medium is discussed in terms of establishment of the relevant Green’s function. The total physical coverage of the scattering phenomenon is maintained via an optimization procedure for a versatile setting of the model. Numerical results reveal that the suggested model is physically relevant and numerically stable.
