Linear Multipole Source for a Field Described by Circular Cylinder Wave Functions

In this paper, it is shown that the source of the field described by the circular cylinder wave function can be a linear multipole. Compared to the multipoles proposed in [1] and [2], this type of multipole consists of a smaller number of monopoles. The results of a comparison of the accuracy of describing the considered fields using these multipoles are presented. It is established that the linear multipole is the most optimal for describing these fields.

Abstract

In this paper, it is shown that the source of the field described by the circular cylinder wave function can be a linear multipole. Compared to the multipoles proposed in [1] and [2], this type of multipole consists of a smaller number of monopoles. The results of a comparison of the accuracy of describing the considered fields using these multipoles are presented. It is established that the linear multipole is the most optimal for describing these fields.
