Comprehensive Analysis of Network Impairments on Quality of Experience in Cloud Gaming: A Case Study on Android Platforms

This study comprehensively analyzed the effects of latency, bandwidth, and packet loss on the Quality of Experience (QoE) in cloud gaming on Android devices. The results demonstrate that high latency and packet loss significantly degrade the gaming experience, causing lag, glitches, and interruptions, particularly in fast-paced games. Conversely, higher bandwidth improves video quality and reduces buffering, thereby enhancing the overall gaming experience. These findings underscore the necessity for cloud gaming service providers to optimize their network configurations and adopt advanced technologies such as edge computing, adaptive streaming, and robust error correction protocols. By addressing these network challenges, service providers can deliver a more stable and enjoyable gaming experience, fostering greater user satisfaction and retention.
