Secrecy Analysis of Two-Way Full-Duplex RIS-Empowered Vehicular Networks over Double Nakagami-m Fading Channels
In this paper, we investigate the secrecy performance of a two-way full-duplex (TWFD) cooperative vehicular scenario, wherein two vehicles communicates bidirectionally via reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-aided vehicle in the presence of a passive eavesdropper’s vehicle. Interestingly, the eavesdropper encounters interference when attempting to listen the data of the legitimate links due to their simultaneously transmission of information. We evaluate the performance of TWFD RIS-empowered V2V communication system in terms of secrecy outage probability (SOP) and ergodic secrecy capacity with residual self-interference at the legitimate vehicles over double Nakagami-m fading channels. In addition, we derive the system’s diversity order by analyzing the SOP behavior at high signal-to-noise ratio region, which indicates the impact of number of RIS elements and other parameters onto the system of interest. Finally, we validate the correctness of our analytical findings via Monte-Carlo simulations and show the impact of various system and channel parameters on the secrecy performance of the considered network scenario.
