Coverage Probability Analysis and Optimization for Stochastic Geometry-Based Multi-Satellite Cooperative Systems Under Dynamic Channels
Low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite systems provide global coverage and low latency, but the reliability of satellite-terrestrial links is significantly challenged by environmental obstructions that induce rapid channel-state variation. In this letter, we propose a novel multi-satellite cooperative communication system to enhance transmission reliability. The spatial distribution of satellites is modeled using stochastic geometry, and the dynamic state transitions in satellite-terrestrial links are characterized by a two-state Markov process. Within this framework, we derive the Laplace transform of the co-channel interference and obtain an analytical expression for the coverage probability. We then optimize the satellite density to maximize coverage probability. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed system outperforms conventional single-satellite systems in terms of connectivity.
