Simulation analysis of ultrasonic milling processing for titanium alloy thin-walled components
To address the difficulty in machining titanium alloys, the research method involved establishing a finite element model for ultrasonic controlled milling of titanium alloys using the abaqus software, and conducting simulation analysis. the study also investigated the milling performance of logarithmic alloy under conditions of different rake angles, clearance angles, cutting edge angles, helical lead ,tooth breakage, and tooth detachment. The effects of changes in process parameters such as rotational speed, feed rate, cutting depth and cutting width on the cutting stress of thin-walled parts were analyzed. The conclusion is that the finite element model establishes for the milling of titanium alloys using the end mill can achieve three-dimensional simulation. The conclusions are that the tool parameters affecting the milling performance are ranked as clearance separation, cutting edge angle, helical lead, clearance angle, tooth detachment, and rake angle, the process parameters affecting the performance are ranked as cutting width, rotational speed, feed rate, and cutting depth.
