Experimental and quality control research on laser cladding remanufacturing process
To address the stability requirements of the laser cladding remanufacturing process, this study utilized MobiMRO-2equipment and a PFH-DT1N06 powder feeder, employing GX4CrNi13-4 stainless steel powder as the research material. Systematic optimization of the process was conducted through multi-parameter combination experiments. Systematized process experiments were conducted to validate the quality of the cladding layer. The experiments demonstrated that under the parameters of laser power 1,800 W, spot diameter 3.7 mm, and scanning speed 10 mm/s, the cladding layer density reached over 99.97% with no cracks/incomplete fusion defects. After aging treatment at 620°C, the yield strength increased to 852 MPa, and the Vickers hardness distribution was uniform (approximately 300HV). Microstructural analysis reveals the precipitation of carbide strengthening phases post-heat treatment, while SEM observations indicate grain refinement ranging from 5 to 8 μm. This research provides a reliable process basis for the remanufacturing of pressure-bearing components such as impellers.
