E-REDES - low voltage fault and restoration detection with smart grid infrastructure

With the constant change of the energy grid, distribution system operators (DSOs) are evolving in every aspect of grid management, making the energy transition one of the focal points in every DSO roadmap. With that in mind, E-REDES is always trying to use new functionalities created with different tools that allow us to analyse the energy grid differently and be more proactive. E-REDES has invested significantly in low-voltage grids by deploying millions of smart meters thousands of data concentrators, and enhancing systems to leverage this data effectively. The goal is to take advantage of specific features of field devices, such as spontaneous alarms and last-gasp messages sent upon outage detection. This solution enhances the observability of the grid's "last mile," ensuring proactive fault detection and supporting the transition to a more resilient and intelligent energy network.
