Assessment of low voltage load profiles considering future end-use evolution
The push towards decarbonisation necessitates rapid electrification of sectors traditionally reliant on fossil fuels, many of which are connected to Low Voltage (LV) networks. Planning for grid evolution and associated costs requires assessing the future impact of electrification on electrical consumption trends at a local level. This article presents a tool to estimate LV load profiles from raw data automatically. This tool can also build a deforming profile that can be added to the current profile to consider a new usage. The method is tested specifically on heat pump usage by studying actual LV load chronicles and chronicles including heat pumps to assess the relevance of those models.
