Estimating local grid losses: a tool enabling daily losses estimation and visualisation at different grid levels, fostering a deeper understanding of them
To address the need to have a local vision of electrical losses on the distribution grids, in order to better understand and monitor them, French DSO Enedis developed a new tool. This approach uses the daily consumption and generation metering data to conduct flow balances and estimate the distribution of loss volumes over time and across different geographical scales.
