Decision-making support in the presence of uncertainty in advanced distribution management systems: a wisdom hierarchy-based perspective
This paper considers decision-making under uncertainty in DSO's (Distribution System Operator) operational and expansion planning business processes. It provides insight into the pillars of decision-making processes by linking them to the elements of the DIKW (Data, Information, Knowledge, Wisdom) hierarchy. The paper discusses a collective problem-solving concept and links it to knowledge and wisdom elements of the DIKW hierarchy. Based on that, it proposes a collective problem-solving-based framework to improve solving real-life (complex) decision-making problems within an ADMS in an uncertain environment.
