PAC standardisation at a Swiss DSO - journey, lessons learned and benefits

This paper aims to share Romande Energie’s experience in standardising the PAC (Protection Automation and Control) system of its HV/MV substations. It highlights the initial motivations, the journey undertaken, internal and external collaborations, as well as the benefits obtained. It also outlines the next steps and future objectives. This course follows trends in the digitalisation of the PAC domain and the application of top-down engineering approaches.
