Influence of subsidies on future load time series and optimisation possibilities at low voltage grid nodes
The consequences of the energy transition are leading to major changes in the electricity supply system, meaning that models for load scenarios are essential for future grid scenarios. To accelerate the energy transition in the low voltage grid, various models for optimizing self-consumption have been in place for some time, in which both end customers and distribution grid operators have an economic interest. Various subsidies exist to improve the energy consumption of such low voltage grid nodes, considering the increased use of renewable energy consumers, the utilization of which has a direct impact on the low voltage grids. This paper provides an overview of suitable subsidies and, accordingly, an evaluation of their relevance for low voltage grid nodes. Based on this, an optimization model that provides energy optimization for such grid nodes is expanded so that these subsidies can be considered in the optimization. This is shown using exemplary results. As a result, it is possible to evaluate not only current but also planned future subsidies regarding their long-term effects on the low voltage grid.
