Biliary samples in dogs with surgically managed cholelithiasis often yield positive bacterial cultures
Perioperative antimicrobial use may be indicated in dogs with surgically managed cholelithiasis. Previous antimicrobial use does not appear to be associated with the presence of multidrug resistance.
