Directions for optimizing processing of extractive phosphoric acid
The paper analyzes and optimizes the processing methods for wet-process phosphoric acid (WPA), a critical raw material for phosphate fertilizer production. Various purification techniques, including precipitation, solvent extraction, and thermal methods, are evaluated for their efficiency in removing impurities such as fluorine, sulfate, iron, magnesium, and aluminum compounds. The research highlights innovative approaches like the use of strontium salts for sulfate removal and organic solvents for selective extraction, which improve acid quality while ensuring economic and environmental sustainability. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of integrating chemical and physico-chemical methods to enhance purification performance, reduce waste, and enable reuse of by-products. Results demonstrate that tailored technological solutions can significantly improve WPA quality and process efficiency, supporting the production of high-grade fertilizers and contributing to environmental protection.
