Research process and hotspot prediction of deep-hole presplitting blasting technology in China’s mines

The concept and mechanism of the deep-hole presplitting blasting are expounded in detail. Based on China's annual coal production data and the number of papers published on the theme of deep-hole presplitting blasting, the research process of deep-hole presplitting blasting is divided into the early exploration stage (1978–2000), the rapid development stage (2001–2014) and the stable development stage (2015–2024). Based on bibliometrics methods and CiteSpace software, the research hotspots and development trends in the field of deep-hole pre-splitting blasting are discussed. The ARIMA time series prediction model was used to predict the number of publications of the eight main keywords related to the deep-hole Presplitting Blasting from 2025 to 2029, and future high-heat research directions was proposed. The research progress of the deep-hole presplitting blasting in China is systematically summarized from three aspects: theoretical research, experimental research and key parameter research. Combined with the research status and development trend, it is believed that future research should focus on three core directions: first, at the theoretical level, it is necessary to develop the thermal-fluid–solid-chemical multi-field coupling dynamic fracture models, an intelligent machine learning-based blasting parameter design system and dynamic correction models for deep complex media, focusing on the development of nonlinear dynamic modeling and intelligent blasting theory systems. Secondly, in the field of experimental technology, it is necessary to build a high-temperature, high-pressure, seepage-stress multi-field coupling platform, integrate quantum sensing and digital twin technologies, realize microsecond-scale crack propagation monitoring and bionic charging control, and simultaneously develop low-detonation-velocity environmental protection explosives and degradable energy-gathering materials. Third, the engineering technology direction should promote dynamic optimization of the deep-hole presplitting blasting parameters and research and development of extreme geological adaptability technologies.
