Kullanıcı Sözlük İlişkisi Açısından Sözlüklerdeki Tanımların Tartışılabilirliği
Human beings always feel the need for meaning. They get help from dictionaries for this need. There are monolingual or multilingual dictionaries depending on the need. Therefore, some word definitions may have a different structure or may not conform to the standard of the dictionary. Sometimes this difference is caused by the user. In this case, the frequency with which the user uses the dictionary, the nature of the dictionary, the user's perception, and individual or social values are decisive. This raises the question of whether they accept the meanings unconditionally. The first source used as a dictionary in Turkish is the “Turkish Dictionary”. In this study, a survey will be conducted to reveal the relationship between dictionary users and dictionaries, and the attitudes of undergraduate students in the Turkish Language and Literature department towards dictionary use and their views on whether dictionary definitions are considered to be absolutely correct will be evaluated.
