A PEDAGOGIA FREIREANA NA CONTEXTUALIZAÇÃO DA BNCC
This study analyzed the general competencies of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) for Basic Education, investigating whether Freirean pedagogy can offer alternatives to the conservative political aspects present in this document. The objective was to systematically review the national production on the analysis of the general competencies proposed by the BNCC for Basic Education, considering how Freirean pedagogy can contribute to criticizing and overcoming the conservative perspectives present in this document. The central research question is: to what extent does the current approach to competencies in the BNCC diverge from Paulo Freire’s vision when it prioritizes the transmission of knowledge over the critical reflection of students on reality? The results indicate that the competencies in the BNCC prioritize pragmatic and market-driven demands, at the expense of critical education and social transformation. It is concluded that Freirean pedagogy offers a relevant alternative to overcome the conservative limitations of the BNCC, fostering a critical, collective, and emancipatory education.
